REQUIREMENTS:

Your health and safety are our primary concerns during this COVID-19 crisis, so we have taken additional measures to ensure your safety in our teaching facilities. To strengthen precautions, we are doing as follows:

Providing masks and gloves upon student request
Disinfecting all surfaces and equipment used more frequently
Washing hands more frequently for all instructors and students.

For students and all others please DO NOT attend a class if you answer YES to any of the following:

Have a fever (temp. greater than 100.4 degrees)
Have a new or worsening cough or shortness of breath, have any flu-like symptoms.
Have you or anyone living with you come into close contact or been in contact with someone that has tested positive for COVID-19 or traveled to an area outside of the United States within the last 30 days?

Heartsaver First Aid CPR

Course Description

This comprehensive course teaches the skills of CPR/AED and First Aid in a single class. It is designed for non-medical professionals or laypersons to participate in the resuscitation of an adult, child or infant outside of the hospital setting. This class covers adult and child CPR, CPR with a face mask, and foreign body airway obstruction. This course exposes students to the basics of first aid care from the most common injuries and medical emergencies. The use of an AED is also covered. The Heartsaver First Aid course is perfect for anyone wanting to be certified in the basic skills of saving a life.

The Heartsaver First Aid course meets certification requirements for personal trainers, teachers, office personnel, security guards, and anyone else that is required to have this type of certification as a condition of employment.

Course Prerequisite

Wear loose comfortable clothing to class. Students will be practicing skills that require them to work on their hands and knees.

Course Accreditation

This course is accredited by the American Heart Association and follows the AHA curriculum. Certification cards for this course are valid for 2 years.

Course Length

Course length averages about 2-3 hours depending on the size of the class. Students arriving more than 15 minutes after the course has begun will not be permitted to take the course.

Registration

The course fee is $78.00. Registration occurs upon receipt of payment. Confirmed registrants will receive a receipt via e-mail. Please keep the receipt for your records. Scheduling and dates are subject to change.

Cancellation/Refunds

NO refund will be issued to cancellations needed, just reschedules. A $25 rescheduling fee will be assessed and only 1 rescheduled class is allowed within 30 days of the original course date. Rescheduled classes are non-refundable. NO refund or rescheduling for NO-SHOWS. Students arriving more than 15 minutes late of class start time will be considered no shows.
