REQUIREMENTS:

Your health and safety are our primary concerns during this COVID-19 crisis, so we have taken additional measures to ensure your safety in our teaching facilities. To strengthen precautions, we are doing as follows:

  • Providing masks and gloves upon student request
  • Disinfecting all surfaces and equipment used more frequently
  • Washing hands more frequently for all instructors and students.

For students and all others please DO NOT attend a class if you answer YES to any of the following:

  • Have a fever (temp. greater than 100.4 degrees)
  • Have a new or worsening cough or shortness of breath, have any flu-like symptoms.
  • Have you or anyone living with you come into close contact or been in contact with someone that has tested positive for COVID-19 or traveled to an area outside of the United States within the last 30 days?

Requirements

  1. Current certification must be in date and valid at the time of Recertification/Renewal course. Cards are valid until the end of the month of the date of expiration.
  2. If the card is expired even by one day, the provider WILL NOT be eligible for a recertification/RENEWAL course and the entire course MUST be repeated.
  3. Current certification cards must be presented to the instructor on the day of the class to take a recertification/RENEWAL course.
  4. Only American Heart Association cards and eCards are acceptable for AHA recertification/RENEWAL courses.
  5. If the provider has paid for the course but has forgotten their card on the day of the course a new card WILL NOT be issued until the old card is submitted or you will have to be enrolled into a full BLS provider course (4-hour class).  The provider will be eligible to reschedule to another course and a $25 rescheduling fee will be charged.

Course Description

This course is designed to teach the skills of CPR for adults, children, and infants with the use of an AED, the use of a Bag Valve Mask, and is official AHA certification for medical professionals who are required to be certified as a condition of employment. This includes nurses, doctors, EMTs, hospital workers, employees of doctors and dentist’s offices, and nursing home staff or anyone who deals with direct patient care.

Course Prerequisite

Wear loose comfortable clothing to class. Students will be practicing skills that require them to work on their hands and knees.

Registration

The course fee is $53.00. Space is limited to the first 12 registrants. Registration occurs upon receipt of payment. Confirmed registrants will receive a receipt via e-mail. Please keep the receipt for your records. Scheduling and dates are subject to change.

Cancellations / Refunds

NO refund will be issued to cancellations needed, just reschedules.  A $25 rescheduling fee will be assessed and only 1 rescheduled class is allowed within 30 days of the original course date. Rescheduled classes are non-refundable. NO refund or rescheduling for NO-SHOWS. Students arriving more than 15 minutes late of class start time will be considered no shows.  Please refer to the Terms and Conditions page for further details.
